Department Staff

The Brattleboro Fire Department is staffed by a career Chief, Asst Chief, Fire Alarm Superintendent, Administrative Assistant, and 21 career firefighters. 30 Call Firefighters and dive team members supplement the departments career force. The career firefighters work a shift rotation of 24 hours on duty, 48 hours off duty utilizing 3 shifts of 7 members. The Chiefs, Administrative Assistant, and Fire Alarm Superintendent work a 40 hour work week. The department currently responds to around 1800 calls a year.
